I'm a developer and technical lead based in the Netherlands — mostly Android and Flutter, with Vue.js and whatever backend glue is needed rounding things out. When I'm not at a keyboard, I'm usually somewhere with a horizon in view: on a wall, in the water, or under the night sky.

What I've been building

NL WALLET● ~3 yrs running

NL Wallet — a national identity wallet

Close to three years now on one large government project. Most of that time is the Flutter app itself — which includes native & Rust integration, golden tests to BLoC-based paginated lists. I've also started picking up the Vue.js admin portal (with a WalletBackend/BFF and KeyCloak underneath) now that it's mostly built out. The login flow and session handling aren't the part I'd call a passion, but on a project like this, they have to be right.

Before that — engineering work at Schiphol Airport, Emesa, Pinch, and Mobgen / Accenture. Also — I organize DAUG, the Dutch Android User Group, a meetup where Android developers get together to swap notes and give talks.

Start and stop timing contractions during labor, track their intensity, and share a live view with a partner or doula. Simple on purpose — it's used in the moments when nobody wants to fight with an app.
